KEYS TO OVERCOMING STAGE FRIGHT

KEY 1. QUALITY PREPARATION

Dedicate quality time to choose, arrange and rehears your songs personally, and then involve your team. If you fail to prepare yourself and your team, being conscious of that fact can lead to stage fright.

KEY 2. KNOW THAT YOU ARE IN CHARGE OF THE STAGE

When you are invited to the stage, be conscious of this fact; “I’m in charge”.
For the fact that all eyes are set on you, you must be strong and be in control. If you lose control over the audience, you will be frightened by the audience and that might result to average delivery.

KEY 3. BE IN LOVE WITH YOUR ABILITY

Before someone gets you invited to a show, they must have watched your performance somewhere and love your style. So they are expecting to have the real you on the stage. therefore sing like yourself. Appreciate other powerful voices in the house, but sing with your own unique voice. The people want to hear your own original voice. No other voice texture is exactly like yours.
