(From Christian Encourager Magazine )
The will power of man is the strength he has as a human being. Whatsoever conquers the will power conquers the man. on the other hand, anything that cannot conquer a man’s will power cannot dominate nor rule over him.
A man’s will power is the enabling force endowed him by God to dominate his environment. You cannot rule over your environment, if your will power is not strong. You need strong will to rule.
So God created man in His own image…. And God blessed them and said unto them, be fruitful and multiply. and replenish the earth and subdue it… Genesis 1:27-28
It is impossible for a man to dominate his environment and live in total victory if his will power is weakened. To dominate and conquer, one’s has to be strong. Every trouble that will attempt to dominate a man will first work on his will power, either to steal or weaken it. No sickness or problems of life can kill or destroy your life, until you give up your will to live. Therefore, whatever cannot overpower your will, cannot overpower you.
The Scriptures say:
The thief cometh not, but for to steal and to kill and to destroy; I am come that you might have life and have it abundantly John 10:10
Satan steals before he kills and destroys. Every negative pressure exerted on a man is targeted at him losing his power of resistance.
My dear reader, no matter the pressure or pain exerted on you by any situation or person, if you do not surrender your will power, you will triumph at the end. It is not about how big the problem or challenge may look; rather it is all about the strength of your will power. Therefore, we can say if your will power to live or survive is strong, you will win of problems of life, but if your will to live is weak or even gone, then you will lose to the problems of life.
Every difficult situation or satanic manipulations you encounter today are programmed to force you to accept defeat.
And when the tempter came to him, he said if thou be the Son of God command that these stones be made bread… Matthew 4:3-6
Satan tempted Jesus in diverse ways. The sole object of his temptations was to lure Jesus away and manipulate him to surrender his will power. But Jesus realizing his tricks countered him with the word of God.
If you stand out and refuse to accept the will of the devil concerning you or your family, his plan will not materialize in your life. This was the reason satan could not conquer or have control over Jesus. Jesus refused to surrender his will power to the devil. He chose to uphold the will of God. He vehemently rejected all that the devil had to offer. And the end product was that God’s perfect will was done in his life. Inner weakness is a sign of a weakened will, while inner strength is a proof of a strong will.
REFUSE TO GIVE UP YOUR WILL POWER
Listen, Jesus refused to give in to the devil attacks and tricks and the devil could not conquer him, rather he conquered the devil. It doesn’t matter what you have passed through, or are passing through or are passing through in life, one fact you must not forget is that, if your will to make it is strong and you are willing to stand your ground, resisting the devil to the end, you will conquer your situation.
Satan could not dominate Adam and Eve until they surrendered their will power to him. The temptation imposed on Adam and Eve by the devil is much the same with the one he set before Christ. Satan made several suggestions on both occasion, but he never forced either of them to succumb, because he had no power over their will.
The devil said to Adam:
“Yea, hath God saith ye shall not eat of every tree of this garden?. Genesis 3:1b
The action of Eve in the above Bible quotation was a product of the conversation she had with the devil previously. As a result of her giving consideration to the satanic suggestions, Eve’s will power was weakened, and as result, she could longer exercise control over her actions.
Whatever happens around you, the satanic movement and activities are actually targeted at what is inside you. So refuse to give in. Satan made Eve to feel and see the wrong thing. The outcome was that Eve willingly submitted her will to the devil. Satan did not impose the forbidden fruit on her, she willingly partook of it.
Today, a lot people are willingly surrendering their will powers to the devil through the nature of their desire or acceptance of their problem as a means to their death. Such people usually blame their predicaments on satan and his cohort. But the truth is that, no power can conquer or rule over you until you surrender your will power to it. We can therefore conclude that if one’s will is intact, one’s strength will remain strong. This means that strength can be sustained by keeping the will power intact.
Satan had to rely on this conversation with Eve to know the truth about God’s instructions to her and her husband at Eden. What you know that another does not know is what gives you advantage over him. Until you open to the devil the content of your heart, he has no control over it. It is to this end that the Scripture enjoins us to resist the devil. You need to understand the need to resist the devil and keep him away from your heart.
Do not give the devil any room for suggestion and arguments or any type of conversation. He should be simply resisted and forced to flee. When a man makes room for the devil’s suggestion, he risks being lured away from what he knows.
The reaction of satan when Eve opened up to him was to fire his destructive bullet immediately against her. Genesis 3:6.
Delilah could not cut the hair of Samson until she convinced him to surrender his will power. She manipulated him to expose the secret of his power to her (Judges 16:6 KJV).
So Delilah said to Samson, tell me the secret of your strength and how you can be tied and subdued (Judges 16:6 CBV).
One of the messages exposed in this translation is that when one’s will is intact, one’s strength will remain strong. This means that strength can be sustained by keeping the will intact. Until Samson told Delilah the secret of his power, he remained in control of the Philistines. He remained undefeated in battle. But the day Samson willingly exposed the secret of his strength; he lost his immunity to defeat. Your will power is your strength. Your ability to rule over your circumstances depends on your will power. The powers from hell may be fighting had to frustrate you, but you can overcome them if you refuse to surrender your will power.
YOU CAN REGAIN YOUR LOST STRENGTH
Samson lost his hair, his strength and his dominion over the Philistine. They in return ridiculed and made mockery of his God. Yet that was not the end of Samson, he refused to die until he had seen the restoration of his power. You may also have found yourself in a position of mockery, owning to your circumstances, you may have surrendered your will power to the devil like Samson did, but then do not kill yourself yet. The good news for you is that you can bounce back. You can reclaim your lost glory.
My dear reader. Samson did not die a ridicule; he died a warrior. Samson willingly surrendered his strength to the devil. so also he willingly recovered it. He had to fight had to regain his lost strength.
I do not know what you are passing through presently. I don’t know those desires of yours that have not materialized, but there is one thing I know very well, if your will power to overcome is strong, you will not die in your problems. It is possible to turn your circumstances around for the better. God bless you.
